Saturday 4th December 2010, TRIMLEY St.MARTIN-LEVINGTON MARINA, Start 10.30am, Distance 4.5miles. PLEASE BOOK BY WEDNESDAY 1st DECEMBER Meet and park to pre-order food at "The Hand-in_hand", public house, Trimley St.Martin. A "GO" walk not featured since 8th April 2000! Some really excellent views across the River Orwell as our route passes both the expanding Marina at Levington and Loompit Lake. returning to the pub for lunch and refreshments at approximately 12.30pm. Post code for pub is IP11 0RL. A LACK OF SUPPORT FOR THIS WALK HAS RESULTED IN CANCELLATION. APOLOGIES TO THE FEW THAT BOOKED FOR THE EVENT

Saturday 11th December 2010, LANGHAM - BOXTED, Start 10.30am, Distance 5miles. PLEASE BOOK BY WEDNESDAY 8th DECEMBER Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Shepherd & Dog", public house, Langham. Some superb meadow routes, open countryside, part of the Essex Way and good views of the Stour Valley. Returning to the pub for lunch and refreshments at approximately 12.45pm. Pub post code is CO4 5NR. POST EVENT REVIEW - After a long cold spell it was good to feel the warmth of the sun on this walk today. A big turn-out enjoyed perfect walking conditions. Small section of the route was modified to avoid a few very muddy arable fields. Thank you to all who attended and also to the staff at "The Shepherd and Dog" for some really great food.

Saturday 18th December 2010, STUTTON - TATTINGSTONE, Start 10.30am, Distance 5.5niles. PLEASE BOOK BY WEDNESDAY 14th DECEMBER THE CHRISTMAS "GO" WALK. Meet and park 9.45pm to pre-order food and for coffee and mince pies at "The Gardeners Arms", public house, Stutton. Walk offers some stunning and undulating scenery in grazing meadows and woodland areas, with a section by the Alton Water Reservoir. Returning to the pub for lunch and refreshments at approximately 12.45pm. Pub post code is IP9 2TG. ANOTHER WALKING YEAR CONCLUDES FOR GETTING OUT. IT CERTAINLY HAS BEEN A TOUGH ONE BUT WE ARE PROUD TO SAY THAT "THE SHIP IS STILL AFLOAT" RIDING THE UPS AND DOWNS OF THE UK RECESSION WITHOUT PUTTING UP PRICES TO OUR CUSTOMERS. GETTING OUT WILL RESUME BUSINESS ON 1st JANUARY WITH A WALK FROM THE WESTERFIELD SWAN. I HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO MAKE IT. POST EVENT REVIEW - A very cold day with temps below freezing but a wonderful spirit by a good size group attending. Just three people failed to show without notice. Many thanks to all who attended today and to Bob, Chris and family at the pub, providing some very welcome hot food. Have a Merry Christmas everyone.
