Saturday 5th December 2009, EARL SOHAM-SAXSTEAD, Start 10.30am, Distance 6.5miles YOU MUST GIVE A MINIMUM OF THREE DAYS NOTICE WHEN BOOKING FOR THIS WALK Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Victoria", Public House, Earl Soham. Please park at the nearby Baptist Church. This route includes tracks and bridle ways with woodland sections in open countryside. Returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 1.15pm. Pub post code IP13 7RL. POST EVENT REVIEW - A sunny and dry day, although a little wet under foot, this didn't spoil the walk. Many thanks to Paul and staff at The Victoria for some really good food and drink.

Saturday 12th December 2009, FORD STREET-ALDHAM, Start 10.30am, Distance 5.5miles. YOU MUST GIVE A MINIMUM OF THREE DAYS NOTICE WHEN BOOKING FOR THIS WALK TO AVOID ANY DISAPPOINTMENT, DINERS ARE ADVISED TO GIVE AS MUCH NOTICE AS POSSIBLE THE CHRISTMAS "GO" WALK Meet and park 9.45am for *coffee and mince pies and to pre-order food at "The Old Queens Head", public house, Aldham (situated on A1124). A great walking area close to the River Colne in Essex. Route features some woodland and open countryside. returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 12.45pm. Pub post code is CO6 3PH. *at your own expense. POST EVENT REVIEW - Apart from a short-lived shower, it remained dry and bright throughout the walk. A little muddy underfoot. Thank you very much Julia and staff for serving us all so promptly with good food. The mince pies were superb! We will be back.

Saturday 19th December 2009, BLAXHALL-BLAXHALL HEATH,Start 10.30am, Distance 5miles. THIS WALK HAS BEEN POSTPONED Very sorry to all but his walk has been postponed. Travelling conditions throughout Suffolk are challenging, to say the least. Some roads are predicted to become icy overnight as thawing snow freezes. Police are advising motorists not to travel unless the journey is absolutely necessary. There have been many minor accidents owing to the snow. updated 12.30, Friday 18th December 2009. Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "the Ship Inn", Blaxhall. A significant part of this route passes through the picturesque Tunstall Forest - a great walk on a winters' day. returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 12.45pm. Pub post code is IP12 2DY.

HOLIDAY MONDAY, 28th December 2009, CHELMONDISTON-FRESTON, Start 10.30am, Distance 5miles. A CHRISTMAS TURKEY BUSTER! YOU MUST GIVE A MINIMUM OF THREE DAYS NOTICE WHEN BOOKING FOR THIS WALK A NEW ROUTE FOR GETTING OUT Meet and park 10.10am at the Vilage Car Park, Chelmondiston. Please note, that the Butt & Oyster, Pin Mill will be open for drinks only on this day. This is a new route in a beautiful walking area. Good views across the River Orwell and a visit to Pin Mill. returning to our starting point at approximately 12.30pm. THAT'S IT, GO's FINAL WALK FOR 2009. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE SUPPORTED THE GROUP DURING THE YEAR. GETTING OUT WILL RESUME WALKING ON FRIDAY, 1st JANUARY 2010 .
