Meet and park 6.40pm to pre-order food at "The Kings Head Inn", East Bergholt. A brand NEW route last August featuring Flatford as its focus. The route however stays on the Suffolk side of the Stour, providing some really fabulous views of surrounding landscape and of course a visit to The Mill and Willy Lotts cottage at Flatford, immortalised on canvas by the famous artist John Constable. returning to the pub for food and refreshments at approximately 8.30pm.

POST EVENT REVIEW - Weather remained dry with a perfect light down by Bridge Cottage, Flatford looking across the River Stour and meadows. Thank you to all who supported this final evening walk for 2010..although there is something special coming up on Saturday, 16th October. Thank you to Phil and Angie at the pub for good food and drink.

Meet 0830 outside Ipswich Railway station. Departing on 0842 service to Norwich. A travel itinerary for the day with more information can be found on pages 13/14 of the July/August 2010 GO brochure. There will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful scenery in this very special part of Norfolk. The unhurried day includes 7miles of guided walks through woodland and heath at Kelling and a truly beautiful section of beach, where the tide should be low enough for us to enjoy cooling waters and soft sand between Kelling and Sheringham. We shall also enjoy the nostalgia of travelling by a steam-hauled train between Sheringham and Holt and then returning to Weybourne Station. One of the wonderfully restored Victorian stations on The Poppy Line. There will also be a visit to a fascinating little, by-gone style, tea room at Kelling, which not only provides sumptuous teas, cakes and savouries but also an interesting assortment of paintings and collectables are available for sale. Finally, we enjoy an evening meal at "The Windham Arms", Freehouse in Sheringham before leaving for home at 1930.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BOOK EARLY FOR THIS EVENT AS SPACES MAY BE LIMITED. TOTAL COST IS £32.00 pp which includes walk fees and all train fares on The Poppy Line and National Express Rail. POST EVENT REVIEW - Several newcomers for this event for 2010. Always an enjoyable day out this one, with a mix of nostalgia and relaxation. Weather remained largely dry except for just a few spots of rain. Thanks to all staff for serving us all so efficiently at the Kelling Tearoom. A sunny conclusion to the event as we walked through the soft sand at Sheringham Beach. Many favourable comments from those taking part.

Meet and park 10.25am to pre-order food at "The Kings Head Inn", Orford. A short but picturesque walk by the Suffolk coast. A perfect way to stay cool on a warm day. this route was last featured in a "GO" brochure on 29th June 2006. Returning to the pub for lunch and refreshments at approximately 12.30pm.

POST EVENT REVIEW - A very warm, bright and breezy day. Lots of small boats taking advantage of the conditions. Good place to be - the cooling breeze by the coast was very welcome. Thanks to all who attended and to Susan and staff at The Kings Head for completing of visit with excellent food and good service.

Meet 10.10am at Crowfield Church, parking either on a layby or field* near the church. A great time was had by all last year at this superb little church with some really innovative flower arrangements on show. The walk route offers open counrtsyide with a few woodland sections. We pause part way for refreshments at "The Ten Bells", P.H., Stonham Aspal. Upon our return to the church at around 1pm, hot and cold food will be available to purchase along with pot plants and of course the church will be open for us all to enjoy the magnificent floral decorations. This year, the theme is "Memories".

POST EVENT REVIEW - After a few days of heavy rain it was good to see the sun again. Some very imaginative flower displays for the 2010 theme of "Memories". A truly wonderful day out for us all and plenty of tasty cakes and refreshing cups of tea to finish...oh and the walk was good too! Many thanks to everyone in and around the parish of Crowfield who made this a very enjoyable day for the group. We look forward to visiting again in August 2011.
