Post Event Review A cold day with a stiff breeze at the start. This walk is characterised by some great grazing meadows. Conditions underfoot were muddy in just a few places but going was, by and large good to firm. Well done Sharon and staff for serving so promptly upon our return to the pub with some excellent food...and well-kept real ales. We shall be back!!!

Park (in the meadow) and meet 10.10am to pre-order food at "The White Horse", public house, Tattingstone. The route passes along a short section by Alton Water reservoir, through Cutlers Wood, which at this time of the year should be putting on a fine display of Bluebells. Returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 1.15pm. Use www.multimap.co.uk to assist in finding pub. Pub post code is IP9 2NU.

Post Event Review A really good walk with some great woodland sections and excellent views and once again the weather was in our favour with the forecast rain never arriving. Conditions underfoot were very dry BUT unfortunately the below-average-temperatures of the past three weeks or so have delayed the arrival of Bluebells, it will be another week or two before they appear on this walk! A big thank you to Andy, Caroline and staff for providing us with some great food - do try the hot beef curry - yum!! There is a superb selection of real ale on offer at this pub - Harwich Station Porter - beautiful! There is also Brewers Gold, Wherry and Adnams...now that really is spoiling real ale drinkers. We'll be back!!
