Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Compasses Inn", Holbrook. The full version of a walk which takes in a picturesque section along the Suffolk shore of the River Stour and finishes witha stretch by Alton water Reservoir. Some colourful woodland included too! Returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 1.15pm.

Meet and park 9.55am to pre-order food at "The Fox and Hounds", Public House, Groton. A route not walked by "GO" since November 2003! This walk should benefit from seasonal shades of autumn with a mixture of pretty grazing meadows in open countryside by the River Box, which gives its name to both the valley and principal village in this region. An undulating walk, capturing all the best bits of the popular Stour Valley - grand views, woodland areas and of course, a stroll by the river which gives the valley its name.
