Saturday, 1st November 2008, BLAXHALL - BLAXHALL HEATH, Start 10.30am, Distance 5miles. Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Ship Inn", Blaxhall. The shades of autumn will no doubt provide an immensely colourful spectacle for this walk since a significant part of the route passes through the picturesque Tunstall Forest. Returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 12.45pm. Pub post code is IP12 2DY. POST EVENT REVIEW - Some superb autumn colours on this walk. Just a few spots of rain as we got back to the pub, then the deluge started. Many thanks to David, Sharon and their attentive staff for providing some first class food and Adnams ale. We will be back!!

Saturday, 8th November 2008, EAST BERGHOLT - BENTLEY, Start 10.30am, Distance 6.5miles. Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Kings Head Inn", East Bergholt. This is almost certainly one of "GO's" finest woodland walks, featuring a number of undulating tracks through meadows and some ancient woodland. Again, the autumn should provide many visual spectacles on this walk. we shall stop part way round for refreshments at "The Royal Oak", East End before continuing the walk as we journey back to "The Kings Head" for lunch at approximately 1.30pm. Pub post code is CO7 6TL. POST EVENT REVIEW - Stunning colours on a mostly cloudy day made up for the absence of real sunshine. Timing proved spot on as a strong gale on Saturday night would have blown many leaves from branches. A brief spell of mostly light rain didn't spoil the colourful visual treat. Many thanks to both pubs, The Royal Oak and The Kings Head Inn for serving us all very promptly with great beer and very tasty food.

Saturday, 15th November 2008, PETTISTREE - WICKHAM MARKET, Start 10.30am, Distance 5.5miles. Meet 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Greyhound", Freehouse, Pettistree. Parking for this walk will be at the village hall car park, just a short distance from the pub. If you are uncertain about the location, please contact "GO" before the day. This route features a mixture of open countryside and woodland by the River Deben. returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 12.45pm. Pub post code is IP12 0HP. POST EVENT REVIEW - Floodwaters of the past few days had receded by Saturday and little evidence of any problems remained. A most enjoyable walk with some autumn colours still and ground conditions surprisingly good. Thank you to Paul and Margaret at The Greyhound for a selection of excellent foof promptly served. We will be back!!

Saturday, 22nd November 2008, TUDDENHAM-PLAYFORD-LITTLE BEALINGS, Start 10.30am, Distance 6miles. Meet and park at "The Fountain Inn", Tuddenham St.Martin. We do not need to pre-order food before walking. Some great views in and around the Fynn Valley with superb stretches of woodland and meadows. Returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 1pm. Pub post code is IP6 9BT. POST EVENT REVIEW - A cold day with a bracing wind but it stayed dry for most of the walk with just the odd snow flurry. Food and drink at the pub were excellent, served by polite and attentive staff. Many thanks for making our day so enjoyable.

Saturday, 29th November 2008, NEWBOURNE - MARTLESHAM, Start 10.30am, Distance 5miles. Meet 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Fox Inn", Newbourne, parking at the Newbourne Springs Nature reserve car park where possible. Mixture of open countryside, featuring the picturesque and tranquil setting of the Nature Reserve at the conclusion of this walk. Returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 12.45pm. Pub post code is IP12 4NY. WALK CANCELLATION - Unfortunately, the number of confirmed bookings at 11am on Thursday, 27th November was insufficient and therefore event has been cancelled. Apologies for the disappointment to the few that had booked for this event.
