POST EVENT REVIEW - The Water Meadows at Nacton lived up to there name, so the slightly shorter 4mile version of this route was used to avoid too much mud. A most enjoyable day, not quite as sunny as previous Saturdays but mild for the time of the year and importantly, dry throughout bar a couple of spots of rain. Many thanks to Mark and staff at The Ship Inn for some delicious food and well kept ales.

POST EVENT REVIEW - Wow! The weather was absolutely perfect for this first day of Spring. Sunny and warm with ground conditions dry. A big group enjoyed both walk and dinner at The White Horse. Food and ales were superb, thank you Gavin and Amy for all your hard work. We shall be back!
Please remember if you book for walk and/or lunch on any GO walk, if you cannot attend please let Getting Out know. Unfortunately attending would-be diners were pointlessly turned away on the basis of four people booked for lunch who neither attended or informed of their non-attendance

ONCE AGAIN IT IS HOPED TO RAISE BETWEEN £150 and £200 TODAY. IF YOU WISH TO MAKE A LARGER DONATION THAN THE USUAL £4 WALK FEE, THIS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

POST EVENT REVIEW - A total of 33 walkers braved the elements today. Our weather was chilly, mostly overcast and windy with periods of light rain for a significant part of the walk but later there were a few sunny intervals too. A VERY BIG THANK YOU to everyone who contributed today and again thanks to Jerry & Jackie for their cards and cake sales which raised £51.00 on the day. The total raised for this walk currently stands at £291.00, bringing the grand total for two walks so far to £613.00 - well over half way to the target of £1000 by the end of 2009! There will be another opportunity to help Macmillan Cancer Support on Saturday, 23rd May.
