Thursday, 2nd July 2009, TATTINGSTONE - WHERSTEAD, Start 7pm, Distance 4.5miles.
EVENING WALK
Meet 6.40pm to pre-order food at "The White Horse", public house, Tattingstone. Some open countryside and pretty woodland as as well as short section by the Alton Water Reservoir. Returning to the pub for food and refreshments at approximately 8.45pm. Pub post code is IP9 2NU.
POST EVENT REVIEW - A very warm and sunny evening and after at the pub
Saturday, 4th July 2009, FLOWER FESTIVAL WALK-SHOTLEY GATE - SHOTLEY, Start 10.30pm, Distance 5miles.
Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Shipwreck", public house, Shotley Marina. Some really great views across two of Suffolk's major rivers as this walk embraces both the Orwell and Stour estuaries. We pause at the historic setting of Shotley Chruch. the theme for this Independence Day is "Remembering". There will be stalls, cakes and teas and possibly some of the notoriously spicy cheese straws! Returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 1pm. Pub post code IP9 1QJ.
POST EVENT REVIEW - Some magnificent flower arrangements at the church with plenty of home-made cakes and drinks too. Weather, once again warm, dry and sunny. Many thanks to the staff of The Shipwreck.
SUNDAY, 5th July 2009, MISTLEY - FLATFORD, Start 10.55am, Distance 3 or 4.5miles**
A NEW ROUTE FOR GETTING OUT
Meet 10.15am for a cup of coffee at "The Mistley Quay Cafe", Mistley. Parking is either at Mistley Railway station or on the street near the cafe. We board the 1109 service from Mistley to Manningtree, where the walk starts. A NEW route in pretty Constable Country. The longer route will visit Flatford, including landmarks which featured in the painters' masterpieces. After a pause we return staying mostly by the River Stour to arrive at the cafe at either 1245 or 1315** for a two course lunch.

REGRETABLY BOOKING FOR THIS WALK CAN ONLY BE SECURED BY PAYMENT OF THE DEPOSIT AND SHOULD BE PAID BY 21st JUNE.

Thursday, 9th July 2009, KERSEY - KERSEY VALE, Start 7.15pm, Distance 4miles.
EVENING WALK
Meet and park at 6.55pm to pre-order food at "The Bell Inn", Kersey. Walking from one of Suffolk's prettiest villages. Route passes through open countryside and grazing meadows. returning to the pub for food and refreshments at approximately 9pm. Pub post code is IP7 6DY.
POST EVENT REVIEW - Some really heavy rain in Ipswich and surrounding areas but the weather in Kersey remained dry and later sunny. Many thanks to Alyson and staff for some great food
Saturday, 11th July 2009, SWILLAND - HENLEY - WITNESHAM, Start 10.30am, Distance 5miles.
Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Moon and Mushroom", Freehouse, Swilland. Walk includes open countryside with some woodland section. returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 12.45pm.

POST EVENT REVIEW - A warm, dry day but mostly cloudy. Well done to the FP warden in this parish for keeping the paths trimmed. Thank you too to Nicky, Martin and staff for some excellent cuisine at your great little pub - we will be back!
Thursday, 16th July 2009, PETTISTREE - WICKHAM MARKET, Start 7.15pm, Distance 4miles.
EVENING WALK
Meet and park 6.55pm to pre-order food at The Greyhound Inn, Pettistree. Walk includes a woodland stretch and peaceful walking by the River Deben. Returning to the pub for food and refreshments at approximately 9pm. Pub post code is IP12 0HP.

POST EVENT REVIEW - A mostly sunny, dry and warm evening. Again, fortunate with the weather, which became wet during the late evening. Thanks to Paul and Margaret at The Greyhound for some tasty food.
Saturday, 18th July 2009, HOLBROOK - STUTTON, Start 10.20am, Distance 5miles.
Meet and park 10.10am to pre-order food at "The Compasses Inn", Holbrook. This route takes in some great views of the Stour at Holbrook Creek, passing The Royal Hospital School and later Alton Water Reservoir before returning to the pub for lunch at approximately 12.45pm. Pub post code is IP9 2QR.

POST EVENT REVIEW - A most enjoyable, sunny and breezy day, which provided great conditions for sail-boarders on the Alton Reservoir. Many thanks to Rick and Jayne at The Compasses for good food and refreshments.

POST EVENT REVIEW - Most of the paths on this walk were in superb condition. Many thanks to the appropriate land-owners for helping to make this such an enjoyable route. Thanks as well to James, Charles and staff at The Dog for some very tasty food. We will be back.
